§ 15.04.070. Names of streets and drives.

CENTER STREET: A line running due east and west, intersecting Dakota Avenue at right angles at a point fifty-six feet north of the main line of the Chicago & Northwestern Railroad is designated as Center Street.

Center Street is partly a true roadway and a partly hypothetical roadway, established as part of a systematic method of numbering the buildings and houses of the city. It is a true roadway from its intersection with Montana Avenue to Nevada Avenue, from its intersection with Lincoln Avenue to the western city limit line; a hypothetical roadway from its intersection with Dakota Avenue produced due east to the city limit line.

COMMERCIAL STREET: That roadway adjoining the Chicago & Northwestern Railroad Company's right-of-way on the north, Dakota Avenue on the east and running westerly and parallel to the right-of-way to Nebraska Avenue is designated as Commercial Street.

MARKET STREET: That roadway adjoining the right-of-way of the C. & N. W. R. R. Co. on the south and running parallel to the right-of-way through the city is designated as Market Street.

FIRST STREET SOUTH: That first roadway south of and running on a true parallel with Center Street is designated as First Street South.

That part of First Street South, which is west of Dakota Avenue, has its origin as a roadway of Illinois Avenue and is the first roadway south of Market Street at that point.

That part of First Street South, which is east of Dakota Avenue, has its origin as a roadway at Frank Avenue and is the first roadway south of and running parallel to Center Street.

FIRST STREET NORTH: That roadway first north of Center Street running parallel to the Center Street is designated as First Street North.

US HWY 14: That roadway which is dedicated as U.S. Highway No. 14 which extends from the east city limit line produced westerly to the west city limit line and running parallel to and between the 4th Street N.E. and N.W. service roads and intersects S.D. Highway No. 37 at the intersection of Dakota Avenue North and 4th Street North.

SUNRISE DRIVE: The roadway running parallel to and one block south of 19th Street S.W. running due east and west between Illinois Avenue and Ohio Avenue S.W. and lying west of Dakota Avenue S. is designated as Sunrise Drive.

VAN HALL DRIVE: The roadway running parallel to Illinois Avenue S.W. extended and west of Dakota Avenue So. and commencing at a point midway between 22nd Street and 24th Street S.W. and Wisconsin Ave. S.W. is designated as Van Hall Drive.

SOUTH TERRACE DRIVE: The roadway running parallel to Wisconsin Avenue S.W. between 24th Street S.W. and 27th Street S.W. and located west of Highway No. 37 So. and east of Wisconsin Avenue S.W. with entrance and exit on Wisconsin Avenue S.W. and located within the South Terrace Addition is designated as South Terrace Drive.

PROSPECT PARK DRIVE: The roadway which extends from Dakota Avenue South to Prospect Park oval proceeding east and midway between 15th Street S.E. and 18th Street S.E. and running parallel to Center Street East is designated as Prospect Park Drive.

JEFFERSON BOULEVARD: The roadway which extends from Utah Avenue S.E. and Frank Avenue S.E. between 14th Street S.E. and 15th Street S.E. and running parallel to Center Street East is designated as Jefferson Boulevard.

MADISON BOULEVARD: The roadway which extends from Idaho Avenue S.E. to Lawn Ridge Avenue S.E. between 15th Street S.E. and 18th Street S.E. and running parallel to Center Street East is designated as Madison Boulevard.

EASY STREET: That roadway, which extends from Jersey Avenue N.E. and located one block north of Center Street and proceeding due west to the east shoreline of Ravine Lake is designated as Easy Street.

10TH STREET NE: That roadway adjoining the Great Northern Railroad Company's right-of-way on the south, Dakota Avenue on the west and running easterly and parallel to the railroad right-of-way to the east corporate limits of the city is designated as 10th Street NE.

NORTH FRONTIER DRIVE: The roadway running parallel to and one-half block north of 26th Street S.W. and running due east and west through Frontier Acres Addition, and lying west of Lincoln Avenue S.W.

SOUTH FRONTIER DRIVE: The roadway running parallel to and one-half block south of 26th Street S.W. and running due east and west through Frontier Acres Addition, and lying west of Lincoln Avenue S.W.

PARKSIDE DRIVE: The roadway running parallel to and approximately one-half block south of 29th Street S.W. running east and west between Parkside Addition and Gibbs Park and lying east of Lincoln Avenue S.W.

ARROWBEE COURT: The roadway running parallel to and approximately one block north of 21st St. S.E., extending east from Riverview Drive between Lot A and Lot B in Valley View Estates.

NICHOLAS COURT: The roadway which extends east from Frank Avenue S.E., formerly 14th Street S.E., running midway between Frank Avenue S.E. and Lawn Ridge Avenue S.E. in Block 3 of Lincoln Park 4th Addition is designated as Nicholas Court.

ELLIOTT DRIVE: The roadway which extends north of Fifteenth Street S.E. and one-half block east of Frank Avenue S.E., formerly Simmons Avenue S.E., extending approximately one-half block north and one-half block east to Lawn Ridge Avenue S.E. in Block 2 of Lincoln Park 4th Addition, is designated as Elliott Drive.

ALL OTHER STREETS: All other roadways running due east and west are named according to their order of succession and their direction from Center Street; thus, the sixth roadway north of Center Street is designated as Sixth Street North, or the tenth roadway south of Center Street is designated as Tenth Street South.

BOWE COURT SW: That roadway ending in a cul-de-sac that extends south from 16th Street S.W. with the mouth located midway between McClellan and McDonald Drives S.W.

DEXTER COURT SW: That roadway ending in a cul-de-sac that extends south from 18th Street S.W. with the mouth located midway between McDonald Drive and Cardinal Lane S.W.

PRAIRIE EAGLE CIRCLE EAST: The east half of the "U" shaped roadway that extends south of 24th Street S.W. from Ohio Avenue S.W. for about two and one-half blocks where it intersects with the south end of Prairie Green Drive S.W.

MEADOWLARK LANE SW: The roadway running generally north and south between 18th Street S.W. and 21st Street S.W. located approximately one block east of Arizona Avenue S.W.

CARDINAL LANE SW: The roadway running generally north and south between 18th Street S.W. and 20th Street S.W. with the north end of the street located approximately midway between Meadowlark Lane S.W. and Dexter Court S.W.

PHEASANT LANE SW: The private roadway running east and west located approximately one block north of 21st Street between Arizona Avenue S.W. and Meadowlark Lane S.W.

MAPLE DRIVE SE: The "U" shaped roadway that extends south from 18th Street S.E. for about one block with the north ends of the "U" being located between Utah and Frank Streets S.E.

KANSAS COURT SE: The first street located south of 22 ^nd Street SE on Kansas Avenue SE is this cul-de-sac located on the east side of Kansas Ave SE.
