§ 16.30.070. Authorization to tow and impound vehicle and payment of costs.

No vehicle shall be parked in such a manner interfere with or obstruct the removal of snow from the streets in the city. The city of Huron police department is authorized to tow away any vehicle parked in violation of Section 16.30.020, 16.30.040, 16.30.050 or 16.30.060. For any vehicle towed, the owner shall be responsible for payment of towing costs and payment of all storage costs at rates approved by the city commission. No vehicle which has been towed and impounded for violating Section 16.30.020, 16.30.040, 16.30.050 or 16.30.060 shall be released from impound without the owner first having either paid the snow alert parking violation ticket or contested the ticket in the manner and within the time frame as prescribed by the governing body.
