§ 19.12.090. Unlawful acts.

  • It is unlawful:

    A.

    For any person or persons to obstruct in any manner the use of a fire hydrant or place any material in front of within twenty (20) feet thereof;

    B.

    For any person or persons to impersonate a member of the fire department during the time of fire;

    C.

    For any person or persons to willfully hinder, delay or prevent any fire fighter in the performance of his duties;

    D.

    For any person or persons to willfully deface, injure, mar, damage or interfere with any of the city's fire extinguishing apparatus;

    E.

    For any person or persons to drive a vehicle over any of the city's unprotected hoses;

    F.

    For any person or persons to use or allow another or others to use for private use any of the city's fire extinguishing apparatus.

    G.

    Any person or persons violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be punished by a fine not exceeding five hundred dollars ($500.00) or by imprisonment for a period of not exceeding thirty (30) days, or by both such fine and imprisonment, plus payment for restitution to the City of Huron for an amount equal to the damage, if any to City property. Each and every violation of the provisions of this code shall constitute a separate offense.
