§ 2.04.090. Oath of office and loyalty oath.

Any person elected as a member of the governing body at an annual or special city election shall before assuming his official duties as a member of the governing body, be duly sworn in by an official of the city government and be required to take and subscribe an oath or affirmation of office and a loyalty oath as required by the statutes of the state.
