§ 3.16.050. Department personnel.

    All department fire fighters and volunteer firefighters shall report, upon being directed to do so, to the place of the fire with the city's fire extinguishing apparatus and work and manage the same under the direction of the fire department officer in command.

    B.

    Members of the fire department who are present at the fire shall be subject and obedient to the orders of the fire department officer in command in extinguishing the fire or in removing and protecting property. Any member of the fire department failing or refusing to obey the command of the officer in charge shall be subject to disciplinary action, including termination of employment. Any member of the Volunteer Fire Department failing or refusing to obey the command of the officer in charge may have his or her authorization as a volunteer fire fighter for the City of Huron revoked by the Huron City Commission.

    C.

    No employee of the Huron Fire Department or Volunteer Fire Fighter may leave the fire location with any department fire apparatus without the consent of the department officer in command. No employee of the Fire Department or Volunteer Firefighter may use or allow another to use for private use any of the City fire extinguishing apparatus.
