§ 9.02.030. Installation, operation and surcharge.

The city, pursuant to the intergovernmental agreement between this county and said city, shall be responsible for the installation, operation and maintenance of the 911 system, and all costs incurred in respect thereto. In order to pay for the costs incurred, both recurring and nonrecurring, the said city may collect, from all system users within Beadle County, a user surcharge for each local access service line within Beadle County, South Dakota. The surcharge rate shall be the current State 911 reimbursement rate per month for each local access line. All surcharge sums collected by any local exchange access company, from users of local exchange access lines within Beadle County, shall be remitted directly to the city finance officer of the city.
