§ 5.54.024. Inspection required.

  • All initial applications for retail on-sale licenses and all applicants for transfer of retail on-sale licenses to another location shall be accompanied by a certification that the premises have been inspected and approved by a State Electrical Inspector. Applications for new or transfer of on-sale licenses to another location shall be referred to the building inspector and chief of fire department who shall inspect the building or premises described in the application to determine whether the same complies with the regulations, ordinances and laws applicable thereto. Such officers shall furnish to the governing body the information obtained in such investigation, accompanied by a recommendation as to whether a license should be granted or refused. No license shall be extended or renewed without the inspection and report and recommendation of the officers named herein, as above provided.

The former §§ 5.54.024—5.54.027 pertained to package off-sale malt beverage dealers procedures and hours of business; package off-sale malt beverage and SD farm winery license; and retail off-sale malt beverage and South Dakota Farm Wine License, and derived from Ord. 2047(part), adopted 2008; Ord. 2026(part), adopted 2007; Ord.
